Twsc welcomed over 60 teachers and students from the School of Integrated Circuits at Sun Yat sen University for a visit and exchange. As an important participant in this event, Twsc attaches great importance to and carefully organizes it.

Mr. Ye Yunjie, Vice President of R&D of the company, gave a brief lecture to all teachers and students, introducing the development status of the storage industry and the position of Twsc in the domestic storage industry. He also had in-depth discussions on the issues that teachers and students were concerned about.

During the lecture, Vice General Manager Ye Yunjie introduced the latest development of storage technology and the main trends in the international and domestic storage industry to teachers and classmates, and shared his experiences in the scientific research field for more than 20 years. Through adhering to scientific research and development, enterprises achieve commercial value while taking on social responsibility. Regarding the career direction and effort direction that students are concerned about, Ye Yunjie believes that the development of technology companies needs to consider endowments and strengths, and personal career development also needs to consider endowments and strengths. For the direction of effort, it is not necessary to pay too much attention to the current hot topics, but rather to examine the direction and needs of social development, and make choices based on one's own preferences.

 

Visiting the exhibition hall,Research and development of close range sensing memory and chips

 

During the visit to the Twsc exhibition hall, Assistant General Manager Tao Liping gave a detailed introduction to the process of chip development and industrialization to teachers and students, from light masks to wafer wafers after wafer fabrication, to specific storage products such as mobile storage cards and disks, solid-state drive SSDs, embedded storage eMMC and UFS. provided detailed explanations and exchanges to the visitors.

Students witnessed for the first time the Reticle MASK, commonly known as the light mask, which teachers often talk about in class, in front of the light mask display stand during the industrialization process of chip development in the exhibition hall company. Tao Liping vividly likened the light mask to a mold, where a newly developed product needs to be customized with a mold before being put into production, and a sample should be produced for verification. After verification, there are no problems before mass production. The same principle applies to the research and development of chips. First, the layout generated by EDA tools during the chip development process needs to be provided to the wafer foundry. The wafer foundry first produces a mask based on the layout, and then produces the chip sample. This mask is equivalent to a mold for producing chips. During the chip production process, photolithography technology is used to form patterns on semiconductors, in order to copy the patterns onto the wafer, The principle of using a light mask is similar to using a negative film to copy images onto a photo during photo development. By illuminating this mold, mass production of chips can be achieved.

 

Through this lecture and on-site visit, the students at Sun Yat sen University not only fully understood the development process and overall strength of Twsc, but also deepened their understanding of the overall research and development process of chips. At the same time, they deeply felt that the memory industry is an industry full of development opportunities.
